Hi Y'all! New friends and old.!
And then just like that, 20 plus years have passed. I have watched your kids grow up, and some have even taken away my job! 😉
This has been a long year-I have lost many 4 legged babies this year due to age and illness, and unfortunately lost some 2 legged clients as well, for the same reasons.
Moving forward, I am no longer advertising the amount of time I spend on a visit. Some pets require more time and attention than others, some may get meds. I may be there longer for some, and a shorter amount of time for others. It is usually 20 minutes, unless dog walks and extra cuddles are needed, or this is a sleepover situation. Less time is warranted if you have cats that are hiders (usually under a bed).
I raised my base rate to $25.00 for up to two pets per visit, after no raise rates for many years. Each pet, after that, is $2.50 more. This still includes garbage bins out and in, plant watering, etc. Major holidays are extra. If you live in one of the many new buildings that utilize FOBS , lets talk about it.
My visits are based on QUALITY, not QUANTITY. I will perform the tasks requested and all that is required of the pets' routine and care, anything that is needed for the
home, and, of course, some TLC. When all of that is done, I move on.

Hello, and thank you for considering Critter Sitter of Cary for your pet’s personal care!
My name is Nina LaMonica, owner and handler of Critter Sitter of Cary Pet Sitting.
As a loving and caring pet guardian, I know that pets are happier and healthier in their own environment. There are definitely exceptions, and I know that there are some dogs that do very well & love spending time at a Kennel / Boarding facility.
I have loved and been guardian to many animals of all shapes and sizes all my life, including, many dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, 2 ferrets, fish, Love Birds, Finches, a Sun Conure, named Jack & let's not forget my daughters' Boa Constrictor. I just recently lost my beloved 15 year old cat "Sylvester".
I worked for the NYC Department of Education as a Special Education Instructor for 15 years, before I relocated to Cary, NC. It was time for a total change! After much contemplation, I realized that it was my children, family, friends & my pets that always meant the most to me.
Well....the children have moved on & the pets stayed!! Hence the realization of "Critter Sitter of Cary" & I LOVE it!!
I read and watch everything I can about dogs and their behavior, as well as being certified in Pet CPR and Pet First Aid. I consider it my obligation to continue learning all I can, in order to provide the best care possible for your dog and other animals.
I am excited about offering my services to the community, and look forward to becoming an important part of your family and your pet/companion becoming an important part of mine.
"Pet guardians are often faced with the dilemma of what to do with their pets when traveling away from home. If you are like most pet guardians, you either board your pet or arrange for friends and neighbors to take care of your pet while you're away. However, transporting your pet to a kennel can be inconvenient, cause anxiety and friends may not provide the level of care your pet requires. In addition, it is often uncomfortable and awkward to impose on friends and family.
